Ashley September is a Professional Civil Engineering Technologist with 22 years’ experience in the design and contract management of civil engineering infrastructure projects in South Africa. He served as an Executive Director on the Board of KV3 Engineers as well as that of WorleyParsons RSA for the period May 2005 until March 2014. Whilst serving on the board of WorleyParsons RSA, he also held the position as a trustee for the WorleyParsons Employee Share Trust.
Within WorleyParsons’ Public Infrastructure Business, he was appointed as Departmental Head for Urban Infrastructure, Cape Town Office in March 2012 which was soon after extended to include the position of Area Manager: Urban Infrastructure Western Cape. As Area Manager he was the liaison between all the Urban Infrastructure departments in the Western Cape to ensure continued growth, optimal and efficient business development and project execution to the satisfaction of existing and new clients. In his role as an Area Manager he was also vital in assisting all Customer Sector Groups in achieving the objectives of the company in an ever changing business environment. During this period he also performed the role of Project Engineer (Civil) on several multi-disciplinary engineering projects, some with targeted green star ratings.
During January 2014, Ashley was further appointed as Manager of Engineering where he was responsible for the management of engineering resources in the Cape Town Region. As Manager of Engineering, it was his responsibility to ensure that projects were properly resourced and that all engineering was executed to agreed standards and within the integrity framework of the company.
The month of January 2014 saw Ashley being appointed as the Divisional Manager for Urban Infrastructure which focuses on both local and international projects. As Divisional Manager it is his primary function to manage the division effectively in order to ensure sustainability and simultaneously maintain a steady growth within this particular market sector. 12 Months later, Ashley also took up the role of Office Manager for the Worley Parsons Cape Town office where he is responsible for the daily management of the office and its staff.
